Ted Leonsis – Ted Leonsis is a pioneer of the new media industry, a professional sports team owner and a philanthropist. He has been involved in the Internet industry since its inception, and is a past Chairman of America Online.
As a sports team owner, Leonsis is the founder of Lincoln Holdings LLC, a sports and entertainment company, which holds ownership rights in several Washington, DC, entities including the NHL’s Washington Capitals, the NBA’s Washington Wizards, the WNBA’s Washington Mystics, the Verizon Center and the Baltimore-Washington Ticketmaster franchise. Leonsis was a creator and producer of Nanking, a documentary film that premiered at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival, winning the festival’s Documentary Editing Award.
